Mac Geek Gab
Hosted by MacObserver.com (and BackBeat Media!) co-founder Dave Hamilton and computer guru John F. Braun, The Mac Geek Gab caters to Mac users of all skill levels. John and Dave have been coming together weekly for nearly 12 years to answer listener's questions and provide human translation for geeky tidbits. The audience here is strong, loyal, and continues to grow, which accounts for its regular inclusion in the iTunes Featured Technology Podcast listing.
About the Host
Dave Hamilton & John F. Braun
Dave Hamilton co-founded both The Mac Observer and BackBeat Media, and he is producer and co-host of TMO’s Mac Geek Gab Podcast. He has worked in the computer industry for 15 years, doing time as a consultant, trainer, network engineer, webmaster, and programmer. In his earlier consulting days, he worked on the Mac, all the various Windows flavors, BeOS, a few brands of Unix, and it is rumored he once saw an OS/2 machine in action. Before that he ran some of the earliest Bulletin Board systems, but most of the charges have since been dropped, and not even the FBI requests that he check in more than twice a year. John F. Braun is a software and computer engineer with over 20 years of development experience, and has AS, BS and MS degrees in various computing disciplines, so his friends and colleagues are somewhat surprised that he?s a Mac enthusiast. Having worked in an environment comprised largely of PCs, and watching others wrestle with the horror that is Windows, he's glad to come home to a MacBook Pro and Mac mini at the end of the day.
