About the Podcast
White Wine True Crime is a comedy podcast where hosts Caitlin Cutt and Kari Martin get to combine their two favorite things: Happy Hour and True Crime (shows, films and authors). Basically, it’s Nancy Grace meets Drunk History meets Snapped! Caitlin and Kari don't always stick to the topic, but they always make it back! Sometimes, the ladies even invite comedians and other professionals to chat murder and mayhem, while they tell jokes, stories, etc. Notable guests include Juan Martinez (Author, Conviction) Adam Todd Brown (Unpopular Opinion Podcast), Emily Winslow (Author, Jane Joe January), Josh Mankiewicz (Host, Dateline NBC) and Rachael O'Brien (Actress, Vanderpump Rules)!
About the Host
Caitlin Cutt & Kari Martin
Caitlin Cutt is an LA based comedian, writer and podcaster with a deep love of movies, TV, books, and the true crime genre! Caitlin has been the voice of the very popular pre-teen YouTube cartoon, WellCast, as well as leading her voice to many television shows and films since she was very young. Caitlin has been performing her observational comedy for over five years now, where she talks about her five open-heart surgeries, her alcoholic dad, and what it’s like working a 9-to-5 while trying to make her dreams happen! In her daily life, Caitlin works as a digital marketing content developer for a large, Orange County-based kitchen and bath remodeling company. In her free time, Caitlin edits White Wine, True Crime!, binge-watches true crime TV, reads non-fiction (her current obsession is the Oregon Trial), and hangs out with her husband, Miles!
Kari Martin is a part-time comedian and writer, but a full-time wine drinker and lover of all things true crime. If she ever gets a dog, it will be a dachshund and she will name it Succinylcholine, or Succs for short. Hailing from a small Midwestern town of 6000 named Chillicothe, Illinois, Kari moved out to Long Beach CA in 1996 after a new rapper emerged on the scene with a prolific album called “Doggystyle.” An English Creative Writing major at Cal State Long Beach, Kari had always wanted to be a novel writer. That proved to be a lot of work so she put her creative dreams on hold to work for The Man. After a brief two year stay in Orlando, Florida, for her Corporate job, Kari was packing to move back to California when she found a Bucket List that she had made at the tender, impressionable age of 22. One of the items on the list was to try stand-up comedy…so after half a dozen Chardonnays, Kari tried stand-up comedy for the first time at 35 years old at the Gaslamp in Long Beach, CA! The duo can also be found making jokes about all things “scary” on their podcast Pretty Scarey, which is part of the Unpopular Opinion Network!
