About the Host
Denise Albert and Melissa Gerstein
Denise Albert is an award-winning journalist and television producer and an “independent” mom of two boys. She is the co-founder of the multi-platform brand, The Moms. Denise was the Co-Host of The MOMS on SiriusXM Stars and Founder of The MOMS brand of Mamarazzi® events, a unique event that brings together celebrity moms with moms across the country for a conversation about motherhood. Denise currently contributes online to GoodHousekeeping.com where she writes about her on-going journey with Breast Cancer. She has contributed to The Huffington Post Parents and The Huffington Post Divorce, where she wrote a series called, “Divorce Diaries”. Prior to The Moms, Denise co-founded Moms and the City, where she hosted and produced a television show within the NBC family, and wrote for the NY Daily News online, BabyCenter.com and MetroUS Newspapers. Denise also served as Executive Producer for David Blaine and President of David Blaine Productions, Deputy Editorial Producer at ABC’s Good Morning America and a feature reporter for NBA-TV. Denise began her television career at Inside Edition where she produced a special series and lived in jail for almost a week with host Deborah Norville. Denise and her partner Melissa also serve as “spokesmoms” for many national household brands and Denise currently speaks and moderates panels at many Breast Cancer related events including Susan G. Komen, Lolly's Locks and worked with Ford's Warriors In Pink. She attended Boston University, where she also co-hosted a sports talk show on WTBU Radio. Denise lives in NYC with her two boys, Jaron and Jaylan. Melissa Musen Gerstein is the co-founder of the multimedia company, The MOMS. Prior to The Moms, she was a founding partner in Moms & The City. Moms & The City launched in 2009 as a column in Metro US Newspapers and later developed into a Blog with The New York Daily News and a national TV Show. Gerstein created, hosted and produced the television show with the NBC family, called Moms & The City and a Dad Named David. Gerstein spent the past ten years working in broadcast television at the networks including, ABC, CBS, MNSBC, CNBC and CNN. She has produced for Anderson Cooper’s Show and most recently The Big Idea at CNBC. She toured the country with President Bush during the 2000 election with MSNBC and also worked on many breaking news stories. During her network news years, Gerstein booked and interviewed everyone from President Bush to Steven Spielberg both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Gerstein moved to Toronto for a year to launch and produce Canadian Idol. As Co-Founder of The MOMS, Melissa created the first ever mom-focused town hall series called Mamarazzi. Melissa serves as a “Spokes-mom” for many household brands and has appeared on The Today Show, Good Morning America, Fox News, CNN, HLN and many other national programs. Gerstein attended New York University and is a former ballerina and choreographer. Gerstein resides in New York City with her husband Anthony and three children Elias, Lily and Sydney Rose.
