About the Podcast

This podcast was recorded inside SCI Muncy State Correctional Institution. Muncy is medium/maximum security prison that houses Women located in Pennsylvania. Self-Identities is a podcast that engages conversations with convicted women murders who are facing a life sentence. This is an educational podcast and does not deal with the women’s crime. Instead, the focus is on their stories and who they are as individuals. This podcast aims to educate and engage the listener. Hosted by feminist criminologist Dr. Kathryn Whiteley, co produced by AJ Nutter.
