About the Host

Damien Lemon, Ali Muhammad, and Vlad Caamano

Damien Lemon is a name you should know. A graduate of Clark Atlanta University, Damien honed his comedy skills throughout his educational upbringing. He then moved to New York City, where he quickly made a name for himself in the comedy scene. Damien has opened for Aretha Franklin at Radio City Music Hall and Dick Gregory at Caroline’s on Broadway. He has hosted corporate events for companies including Interactive ONE, VIBE Magazine, and NIKE. On television, Damien has frequently appeared on VH1’s hit series Big Morning Buzz Live, providing pop culture commentary and hilarious insights. He is also a regular on MTV2’s Guy Code, helping the show become the most popular series in MTV2 history. Finally, Damien made his televised stand up debut on Russell Simmons Presents The Ruckus, which aired on Comedy Central. Damien can be seen performing all over New York City, including Caroline’s on Broadway, where he headlined a show as part of the Breakout Artist series. With the name “Vladimir,” few people expect a Dominican from The Bronx to take the stage. His comedic style is the fruit of an immigrant Dominican family living in the cultural mecca that is New York City and is described as an elegant combination of urban grit and intellect. He began polishing his wit in the concrete jungles of The Bronx and Washington Heights and after graduating from Wesleyan University launched into Standup Comedy. Vlad has quickly become a staple of the New York Comedy scene performing at The Stand, Gotham Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Dangerfield’s and the Comic Strip Live. He has been featured on Gotham Comedy Live on AXS.TV and Adam Devine’s House Party for Comedy Central. Now Los Angeles based, you can catch him performing all over town at Hermosa’s Comedy & Magic Club, The Hollywood Improv, and others. After his stand out performance at Just for Laughs (JFL) in 2015, Vlad entered into a put pilot development deal to co-write, and star in a pilot based off of his comedy for NBC with Bill Lawrence and WB supervising. Vlad co-wrote the script with UNDATEABLE writer, Adam Styzikiel and recently shot the pilot directed by Phill Lewis. Vlad was the only one of his New Faces class to be chosen to perform as part of the CW Gala hosted by Howie Mandel. In 2016, Vlad was named one of the Top 10 Comics to Watch by Variety and was honored at JFL. Before heading to Montreal, Vlad made a quick stop in Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia to perform at LATINOS UNIDOS; LEADING AMERICA an event which celebrated Hispanic organizations at the DNC. Vlad also works with the Psychological Trauma Center at Cedars-Sinai which is a one-of-a-kind, school-based prevention and early intervention mental health program servicing the needs of Hispanic children in the community at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
